Testimonials

Dear Kyle,

We would like to sincerely thank you for all your input into [our loved one’s] recovery. Knowing him as we do, we were aware of his impulsive and sometimes headstrong nature, but we always felt sure that he was being fairly and wisely handled by you, and that did a lot for our peace of mind. We are grateful that he had your Godly example, and a strong, but merciful person to relate to. He felt valued, and this has contributed to his healing.

He sees you as an example, and he will miss being with you tremendously. You have given him memories that will last a life time such as freezing cold swims and probably others! We hope you will continue to be part of his life.

Although we can’t see the future, we feel that he is better equipped to start again in the world, and we have hope.

We would like to make you aware of how exceedingly valuable your ministry is to many families, definately ours, and God will definately reward you for your good work.

Thank you once again

Dear Pastor Pia,

We would like to express to you how much we have appreciated your ministry over the time [our son] has been under your care.

Your guidance and supervision have given him a second chance at life, which we, as parents, tried very hard to do , but we failed. It is wonderful to see our son looking healthy, content and so much more mature and responsible, with real faith in his Creator.

It has been a long, hard road for our family, but while [our son] was at NCCC have had time to heal, rethink our journey forward, and we have all learned a great deal about life. We thank God that He preserved our family through all of this.

We don’t know what the future holds, but we feel optimistic and full of hope that [our son] will make the most of his recovery.

In closing, your ministry has given us the greatest gift – we got our son back.

We understand that this gift is fragile, but we feel better equipped to deal with whatever lies ahead.

May God bless you and the ministry a hundred-fold for what you have done for us.

Yours sincerely

Over the past 20 years, Noupoort Christian Care Center has proven itself as the most successful drug rehabilitation centre in South Africa, we currently have a 76%  success rate for those completing the one year program. We’re situated in the Northern Cape between the towns of Colesburg and Middleburg.

To understand substance abuse one needs to understand why a person gets addicted, then once you understand this can you determine how to get a person out of addiction.

Treating a person with a chemical substance abuse problem does not only involve keeping them substance free. It involves the gaining of insight into the severity of their problem and changing negative attitudes and behaviors.

For many, these negative attitudes and behaviors have become a part of their lives for many years and change is a process that takes time.

Time is of the essence and the short term programs have almost no lasting impact on recovery. This is not difficult to understand when one accepts that the negative process of addiction has taken place over an extended period of time.

It cannot be expected that a new identity, – the transition from addiction to normality, can be achieved in a matter of weeks oreven months. One of the keys for the success of the NCCC program is the time factor, and the result of that is, that, “We can put our money were your Recovery is.”

We believe that the time has come for Drug Rehabilitation Centers around the world to accept responsibility for their treatment of addiction, rather than hide behind the fallacy of ‘addiction is a disease. This deception removes any burden of responsibility from the addict and ensures continuous business for the rehabs in a never-ending cycle.

It is common knowledge that no transmitted disease known to man is contracted by choice. Sickness is not a choice. In contrast, addiction directly results from one’s sovereign (and wrong) choices.

This choice to take drugs is made for various reasons; – curiosity, peer pressure, entertainment, boredom and even pain can play a  part. Very often only the first ‘high’ is pleasurable, which explains the subsequent repeated use in a futile attempt to emulate the original experience. This pseudo pleasure is soon lost and replaced with paranoia, anger, depression and anxiety which affects the personality, mindset and emotions.

This results in lying, cheating, stealing, manipulation and immoral behaviour.

This negative transformation which takes place in the addict becomes evident to all those that know him. With this confusion, families are often helpless to deal with the crises and desperately reach out for help from the so-called professionals, such as psychiatrists and psychologists.

Their diagnosis is invariably one of no hope because of this perceived medical condition.  Initially ADHD, and in more recent times, Bipolar Disorder Syndrome are commonly diagnosed.  Almost without exception, this results in lifelong medication.
